Age as an Independent Factor in the Permanent Chemotherapy-Induced Amenorrhea Incidence in Breast Cancer Patients at Dr. Moewardi Hospital, Surakarta, Indonesia

Background: Chemotherapy Induced Amenorrhea (CIA) is one common side effect of chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. Some who have CIA may experience menstruation return while others permanent CIA.
 Aim: to examines the factors that contribute incidence persistent patients.
 Methods: The population this retrospective study was new patients with premenopausal status when they started receiving at dr Moewardi Hospital Surakarta, Indonesia, from January 2019 July 2021. To determine relationship, chi-square/Fisher’s exact test performed. Risk factor analysis on carried out by using a bivariate logistic regression test, followed multivariate analysis.
 Results: A number 105 received were found. Of these patients, 97 (93.38%) experienced and 8 (6.62%) continued menstruate. all subjects having CIA, 49 (46.67%) menstruated again other 48 (45.71%) had CIA. Age has significant relationship (p =< 0.001), where aged > 45 years tend proportion 42 (87.5%) < 0.05). showed age (OR = 75.117; 95% CI 12.671-445.311; p 0.001) most dominant risk associated variables as for based Stage III (R 6.677; 1.370-32,545; 0.019) compared stages I II, BMI normal category 5.485; 1.083-27.786; 0.040) excess BMI. not found be Conclusion: major incidence.
